Giovanni Punzi

Principal clarinet of the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra Giovanni Punzi is Born in Salerno in 1989 and graduated with a performer's degree for clarinet in 2006. Even tought the young age, Punzi actually ranks among the most distinguished european clarinet players of his generation.
After his debut as soloist at the age of 14 with the Bulgary National Orchestra he performed in the main concert halls of Europe, USA, Mexico, South America, Russia and China Student of Calogero Palermo and Alessandro Carbonare in Rome at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia he continued his studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris with Philippe Berrod and at the Royal Danish Academy with John Kruse
In 2011 he is awarded by the Honour Diplom offered at the best students ever by the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena
He started his Orchestral Activity at the age of 20 as solo clarinet in the Orchestra ''I Pomeriggi musicali' in Milan.
After having performed with the most important italian Orchestras Since 2012 to 2013 Giovanni Punzi has been Principal Clarinet of the 'Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne''. Principal clarinet of the Youth talian Orchestra from 2008 to 2009 He has been invited to perform as principal clarinet with some of the most representetive Youth Orchestras worldwide such as the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchestra, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and the Shleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra playng under the direction of some of the most important music directors like R.Muti, V. Gergiev, D.Gatti, K.Nagano, Y. Temirkanov....
 
 

Rémi Delangle

Principal clarinettist of the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine

 

Rémi Delangle is a multifaceted musician driven by discovery, diversity, and musical quality.

Trained at the conservatories of Boulogne-Billancourt, Cergy-Pontoise, Aubervilliers, and Sydney, Rémi joined the class of Pascal Moraguès and Jean-François Verdier at the CNSMDP, where he obtained his Master's degree in clarinet with honors.

He joined the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine in 2007, while continuing his career as a guest performer with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Orchestre National de France.

He also participated in international competitions, distinguishing himself as a semi-finalist in the ARD competition in Munich and a laureate in the Societa Umanitaria competition in Milan.

Committed to chamber music, Rémi Delangle regularly collaborates with renowned artists and is invited to major festivals in France and abroad. He is a founding member of the basset horn trio Les Flamants Noirs, the group Emirs, the Dumka Quintet, and the duo with Vassilena Serafimova.

Alongside his classical training, Rémi developed a passion for improvised and oral music from the Balkans, as well as Klezmer music. He flourishes in this vein with the Sirba Octet, Emirs, Dumka, and numerous short-lived improvisational projects.

Eager for new experiences and keen to share his love of music with as many people as possible, he is also co-founder of the Essertinages rural music festival. He is now collaborating with the Voce quartet in the “Quartet à Vendôme” festival/academy.

 

Céline Millet

Clarinettist of the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, Professor at the Conservatoires de Paris (CMA 18)

 
A multi-faceted artist, Céline Millet shares her daily life between the orchestra, chamber music and teaching. Initiated to the clarinet by Aude Richard-Camus at the Rouen Conservatory, she receives throughout her career advice from Michel Arrignon, Paul Meyer, Calogero Palermo and Stanley Drucker. She studied in the class of Nicolas Baldeyrou at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse (CNSMD) of Lyon, where she was first named in 2015. Young artist of the Verbier Festival Orchestra, she is now a member of the prestigious Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine (Paris) and performs regularly in other renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Paris, the Orchestre de Paris, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra or the National Orchestras of Lyon, Lille and Strasbourg.
 
Her ease with the different clarinets, from the small clarinet to the bass clarinet, makes her a sought-after musician. His passion for ensemble music leads him to perform on the most beautiful stages: Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Konzerthaus, City of Music and Bercy in Paris, Philharmonic Hall in Bratislava, Opera in Hanoi, Romanian Athenaeum and Palace Hall in Bucharest, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg... She plays under the direction of the greatest chefs: Philippe Jordan, Valery Gergiev, Mikko Franck, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Daniel Harding, Emmanuel Krivine, Leonard Slatkin, Fabio Luisi, Cristian Macelaru, Antonio Pappano, Klaus Mäkelä...
 
Committed to contemporary creation, Céline Millet has participated in the creation of many works by composers such as Thierry Escaich, J.F Neuburger, Lisa Heute and Philip Glass. She regularly collaborates with the Ars Nova Ensemble and performs in several contemporary music festivals such as the ManiFeste Festival (IRCAM) or the Festival Présences (Radio France). Passionate about pedagogy, she has been teaching the clarinet since 2011, with a style whose demand and uniqueness are praised. She was appointed professor at the Gustave Charpentier Conservatory in Paris in 2018. Noted teacher, she is successively trainer at CEFEDEM of Normandy and member of many juries including the entry competition at the CNSMD in Lyon in 2024. She is regularly asked to give Masterclasses in Paris and abroad. Based on these successes, she runs during the 2023-2024 season an Academy for young professional clarinettists in partnership with the Showroom Buffet Crampon in Paris. Céline Millet is also the author of the book Le pouvoir du minimalisme, published by Eyrolles in 2024. She plays the clarinets Buffet Crampon «Légende» in mopane.

 

Tadej Kenig

principal clarinetist of the Slovenian national Opera and ballet orchestra,

associate professor of clarinet at University in Ljubljana, Academy of music

 

Tadej Kenig is the principal clarinetist of the Slovenian National Opera and Ballet Orchestra in Ljubljana and an Associate Professor at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. He completed his undergraduate studies with Professor Slavko Goričar and earned his postgraduate Solistendiplom with highest honors at the Hochschule für Musik der Stadt Basel under Professor François Benda.

He is a recipient of numerous first prizes at national and international competitions, including the overall victory at the prestigious “Marco Fiorindo” competition in Turin, Italy, in the solo clarinet category.

As a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, Kenig performs across Europe, Asia, and South America – including Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK, Brazil, India, and the Balkans. He has performed with ensembles such as the Slovenian Philharmonic, Basel Symphony Orchestra, Bratislava Chamber Orchestra, Cantus Ensemble, etc. under conductors like Marko Letonja, Stefan Sanderling, Othmar Maga, Szymon Bywalec, Simon Krečič and others.

Kenig is a regular guest at major contemporary music festivals such as Biennale Zagreb, Electromediaworks Athens, and S.O.U.N.D. Scotland, collaborating with some of the world’s leading performers and composers including Kevin Rhodes, Heinz Holliger, Roberto Fabbriciani, Krzysztof Penderecki, Rohan de Saram, Jürg Henneberger, Jürg Wyttenbach, and many others.

His discography includes Dialogue de l'ombre double (2007), Molly Brallaghan, Quintet Artvento and Friends (2008), Vivid Air (2010), and Alojz Ajdič: Works for Clarinet (2010), among others.

An active pedagogue, he has taught and lectured at music academies and universities across Europe: the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, UDK Berlin, Basel Academy of Music, Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, the University of Novi Sad, the University of Aberdeen, and other international education centers and masterclasses.

He is the founder and artistic director of the Glasbena Fabr’ka Festival and the Biennial International Clarinet Masterclasses, which bring together some of the world’s most respected clarinetists and teachers.

Kenig’s artistic voice, technical excellence, and interpretative depth are regularly praised by critics both in Slovenia and internationally, placing him among the most compelling clarinetists of his generation.
